In this work, painting work was carried out on masonry walls and concrete blocks and on sheet metal walls following the following technical process that we explain below:
On masonry walls and concrete blocks:
- Pre-cleaning by spraying pressurized water and biocidal liquids to remove organic remains (mosses and lichens on the baseboard) and other dirt.
- Sanitation and application of two layers of acrylic plastic paint, specific for exteriors and with fungicidal action, in the corporate color.
On sheet metal walls:
- Pre-cleaning by spraying pressurized water in order to remove adhered dirt.
- Application of a layer of epoxy primer 2/comp. Hempadur 15570, to ensure the adhesion of the coating on the metal substrate.
- Application of two coats of 2/comp aliphatic polyurethane finishing enamel. A horizontal strip of about 60 cm wide will be painted in RAL 1023 yellow with the corresponding specific materials for each surface (block / metal).
Firefighting installation pipeline, bridge and metal protections.
- Pre-cleaning by spraying pressurized water to remove adhered dirt.
- Deoxidation of surfaces affected by corrosion and removal of paint in poor condition using electric grinders and brushes.
- General patching of healthy surfaces using two-component epoxy anticorrosive primer.
- Application of two-component enamel topcoat based on aliphatic polyurethane.
All work was carried out at height using a self-propelled lifting platform and during weekends so as not to affect plant activity.
